The reporter saw at the loading site that the cold heading machine with a dead weight of 200 tons was covered with a green "paint coat", covering an area of 160 square meters. "The traditional process requires 50 people to produce 50 tons of bolts per day. If it is used, only two operators can complete it." The field staff introduced that the maximum diameter of high-strength fasteners and special-shaped parts produced by the equipment can reach 36 mm, which can be widely used in automobile, railway, aviation, power generation equipment and other fields. Compared with the traditional process, this unit can save energy by 75% and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 90%.

"Previously, there were less than 10 sets of the same type of equipment in China, and they were all imported from Europe, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and other places," said Xie Wuyi, vice general manager of Sijin Machinery.

China is the largest country in fastener manufacturing and export in the world. However, due to the low added value of products, high-strength and high-precision fasteners in the automotive, railway and aviation fields mainly rely on imports, reflecting the "weakness" of domestic equipment manufacturing industry. Now, the cold heading machine comparable to the "foreign equipment" was born in Ningbo, the "capital of fasteners in China", which is of great breakthrough significance.
